Start: July 4, 2020 at 04:00 UTC
Ending: July 5, 2020 at 15:59 UTC
Modulation types: CW, SSB
Bands: 80 m, 40 m, 20 m, 15 m, 10 m
Hams of the whole world are invited. The main goal of the IAFA DAY-2020 Contest is to develop the International AirField Award (IAFA) Club program for amateur radio aviators “Fifth Ocean” and to identify the best activators of the Program. Participants must adhere to the IARU frequency plan. The links between hunters and activators, as well as between activators, are counted.
The emission of a single signal is permitted. With each IAFA activator station (stationary, mobile /M, field /P), one connection is counted for each aerodrome, on a different band and with different types of radiation. Important: for activators (mobile /M, field /P): for control, it is necessary to provide: any evidence of work on air from the declared areas of the aerodromes (at least one photo with reference to time and place of work, against the background of signs of aerodromes or settlements included in QTH-aerodrome locators, and at least one scan of a GPS navigator or mobile phone screen with coordinates or QTH-locator). This data must be sent along with the report.
The test time for all categories of participants is 36 hours.
Classes:
Activators – any stations operating from areas of aerodromes included in the IAFA-RAFA Program List. Participants must make sure that they work from the squares of QTH-locators in which the airfields counted by the IAFA-RAFA program are located.
Clarification for activators of credit groups / P and / M. If you are in the square of the QTH-locator, where there is more than one aerodrome, then only one identifier is transmitted in the report and stated in the report. After conducting 100 or more QSOs with this identifier, you can, without changing the position and in the presence of a square of another aerodrome, start working with another, new reference. Only in this case will you be credited with multipliers.
ACTIVATORS (stationary, field /P, mobile /M):
SO/AB/CW
SO/AB/SSB
SO/AB/MIX
MO/AB/MIX
Stationary activators (callsign without fraction /M and /P), as a rule, work with constant QTH and activate only one aerodrome.
Activators of the field /P and mobile /M categories can work from more than one aerodrome. The total number of QSOs conducted from each aerodrome should be at least 100.
CHECK NUMBERS
Hunters transmit RS (T) + serial number of communication, starting from 001
Activators transmit RS (T) and the aerodrome identification code.
4Y1A transmits RS (T) ICAO
IMPORTANT!
RS (T) and number should be recorded separately in the report.
POINTS
Each QSO with an activator for any participant gives – 3 points on each new range, each new type of radiation.
QSO with the radio station of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) – 4Y1A – gives 5 points.
Relations between hunters are not counted.
Repeated communications are allowed on different ranges and by different types of radiation.
MULTIPLIERS
Each operated (activated) airfield (reference), as well as QSO with 4Y1A (ICAO reference) gives a factor of 3 on each new range for all categories of participants.
CALCULATION OF RESULT
sum of points * multiplier.
NOTE FOR SWL
There is no group for SWL in the competition. However, observers may use observations to obtain IAFA diplomas.
AWARDS
The winner in the class Activator /M and Activator /P – is awarded with the plaque of the club “Fifth Ocean”.
Those who took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each category – IAFA DAY-2020 medal and a certificate in electronic form.
The overall winner in the Hunter class is awarded with the Fifth Ocean club plaque.
For 1,2 and 3 places in each category – a certificate in electronic form.
All participants who have established at least 100 QSOs and sent reports within the established deadlines are awarded with participant certificates in electronic form.
MULTIOPERATORS RADIO STATIONS
Team members in the test group MOAB MIX – only 2 or 3 people for all classes.
For activators, class / M is a condition: a car antenna and equipment mounted on a car. Automotive power, or from a backup battery (external generator power supplies are not allowed).
For class / P activators – equipment and antennas deployed in the field. Only autonomous power sources are allowed.
For applicants: work from one stationary place.
REPORTS
All participants of the IAFA DAY-2020 send reports in a timely manner and only in electronic form.
The calculation of the results is carried out in a computer way using the QSO_T program, therefore the report must strictly comply with the Cabrillo format (Ermak). The time difference should not be more than 3 minutes.
Reports are sent no later than 10 days after the end of the IAFA DAY.
At the same time, the activators must submit to the panel of judges materials confirming their stay in the areas of the aerodromes – PHOTO and SCREEN GPS coordinates of the activated aerodrome (for each declared activation).
ADDRESS FOR SENDING A REPORT
E-mail: IAFADAY2020(@)yandex.ru
TIME FOR SENDING A REPORT
until July 16, 2020
AUTHORIZED CORRESPONDENTS
The QSOs between hunters and activators, as well between activators, are counted.
COMMENTS
Sample participant report.
The report is sent as a single file in the Cabrillo * .cbr format as a separate attachment to the letter (but not in the body of the letter itself!).
In the subject line, indicate your call sign and credit group in accordance with the Regulation.
